Since November 2006 our company is working here in East London for Daimler Chrysler. We are programming the new production Line for the Mercedes C Class. The Days at work are long and we are in the evening tired and looking for a quiet and nice place to relaxe and refresh for the next Day. And we find this place here at Thornycroft Lodge. Thornycroft is placed in the quiet of nature. On the way we cross the nahoon River an anforgetable view to the water and a beautiful place to take pictures. In this B & B we missing nothing. The Rooms are big and very clean. Every Room got a King size bed an Television with an 5.1 Soundsystem. So we can look movies in our own language. In the morning we become a breakfast what let us not have any wishes so we can start the day with fresh power. When we coming in the evening Elsa had prepaired the meal we ordered at the morning. After this taste of home we relaxing at the bar, where we can have cool drinks or beer. On the canvas we watch our favorite video clips. At the pooltable we can do our new passion the pool playing.I s the sun shining we go swim in the swimming pool. If its cold we can go to the sauna and the warm jakuzzi in the pool area. When the day is over we sleep in the quiet and starting the next day powerful. We are happy to found Thornycroft Lodge and we think lots of people will enjoy this place.

Thornycroft has all the facilities that you could wish for, especially at the price. The accommodation is quite large and it's position impressive. We were only on an overnight stop but it was a very relaxing few hours and it was a pleasure to be able to dine on a very good meal without having to go out and find a restaurant. It is some recommendation that a fellow countryman had already been there for several weeks!

The breathtakingly slow meander through the natural vegetation of East London did not prepare us for what lay ahead on the other side of the river causeway. The serene flow of the river seemed like the highlight of our drive to Thornycroft Lodge. If only we knew what lay ahead just a few meters from the waterway! What at first sight looked like an ordinary compound transformed into one of the most exquisite settings we had seen through our holiday. The mere setting of the Lodge made one feel at home - warm and inviting. The reception we received from the hostess was equally, if not more, inviting, with a friendly and cheerful disposition. We were shown to our spacious living quarter, that was fully equipped with every modern convenience. The children were free to play and run around in the beautifully manicured garden, while we strolled to the pool area. After a restful night we were given a royal send off, with best wishes for a safe journey home. Thornycroft Lodge was definitely a highlight on our trip through the Cape and i will highly, highly recommend it as one of the best offers along the Garden Route.
